Our school's profile and concept
- Taking action – in the Upper Danube Nature Park":
Our comprehensive school is located in the picturesque Upper Danube Valley. We place great value on connecting with our homeland and integrating this into our school concept. Hiking days into nature are firmly anchored in our annual calendar. Our learning structure reflects the landscape, with "tour plans" (curricula), stages, and "summits" (performance records). - Nature and Environmental Protection:
Environmental awareness is a central part of our school life. The joy of nature and the wonder at its beauty should lead to respect for life, responsible handling of natural resources, and a healthy lifestyle. We focus on waste separation, participate in the school fruit program, and much more. - Individual Learning Paths, Coaching, and Degrees:
Our educational concept promotes individual learning paths. We guide our students to achieve secondary school certificates ("Hauptschulabschluss"), high school diplomas ("Realschulabschluss"), or to move on to upper secondary education ("Anschluss an die gynmasiale Oberstufe"). Our learning journal, which we call the "Gipfelbuch", supports the organization of learning. Coaching provides targeted support for achieving goals. We refer to individual learning time as "Klettern" which means "climbing". - Career Orientation and student-run company:
We place great importance on solid career orientation. Our student company "Genoname" provides practical experiences and fosters entrepreneurial thinking. We accompany our students intensively on their path into the professional world and work closely with external partners and businesses. - All-Day Offers and School Media Library:
Our school offers a wide range of all-day activities that enrich the learning day. In addition to clubs, the school media library serves as a center for independent learning and relaxation. - School Social Work and WIR-Time: School social work supports students with social and emotional challenges and carries out various projects in consultation with the "learning group leaders" (class teachers). During WIR-Time, students can engage in various activities or complete school assignments.
- Class Council, School Assembly, and Active Student Co-Responsibility (SMV):
In our school assemblies (SVV), we discuss important topics and decisions together or exchange ideas about school life. The student co-responsibility (SMV) offers the opportunity to actively participate in school life and take on responsibility, e. g., organizing the student's disco. - German as a foreign language class (welcome-class):
For students who have little or no knowledge of German, we offer a special class that facilitates the transition to the regular school system and teaches the basics of the German language. - Parents as Partners:
Parents are important partners for us. We maintain close communication during discussions of learning progress or team exchanges and actively involve them in school life. - Together Successful:
In our comprehensive school, individual learning, environmental awareness, career orientation, and close cooperation are very mimportant for us. Our goal is for students to experience self-efficacy and successfully navigate their own learning paths.
