QuoteAs part of my "Social Work" studies at the Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg in Villingen Schwenningen, I completed a three-month internship in school social work at the Gemeinschaftsschule Obere Donau. The time at the school provided me with many new insights into the daily routines of school life and school social work, offering a comprehensive learning environment. The faculty, as well as the students of the GMS, were always open and friendly towards me.
During my time at the GMS, I experienced a warm and familial interaction and felt very comfortable.

QuoteSecond Practical Phase at the Gemeinschaftsschule Obere Donau in Fridingen
Already during my external internship at the GMS, I was warmly welcomed and found the working climate at the school very pleasant. A year later, I was back at the school for two weeks and again gained valuable experience. The focus there is not only on achieving a successful school leaving certificate but also on addressing the social issues faced by the students, with a very caring and not solely performance-oriented approach. The colleagues were open, friendly, and always helpful towards me. With my mentor, the school social worker, I always felt well supported and was delighted that he was eager to share his knowledge with me.
I would gladly do another internship at this school any time.Best regards,
~Leni K.
